About The Creator
I’m Kit Perez, a counterintelligence analyst specializing in deception detection, vetting, and group dynamics in political and high-risk environments. I’m also the author or co-author of three books:

I hold a BA in Counterintelligence, an MA in Intelligence Studies, and an MA in Trauma Counseling and Crisis Intervention, with advanced training in behavioral analysis, interrogation, statement analysis, and deception detection. I’m also certified in LSI SCAN / statement analysis methodologies, and my work draws heavily on psychology, trauma research, and human behavioral science.
I’ve spent nearly 20 years writing, teaching, and consulting in this space. I’ve worked from multiple angles, as an activist, a militia member, and a strategist for liberty-focused groups across the country. I’ve seen how groups fail, and in some cases, my work has helped keep them alive and effective.
I started The Shepard Scale because I saw the same pattern repeat across different environments: groups with strong intentions but weak orientation. They trusted the wrong people, misunderstood the real threat, and reacted too late to manipulation, drift, or internal collapse. There was no single place where leaders could access a serious, integrated body of work on deception, trust, trauma, behavioral analysis, and counterintelligence as one usable system, so I built it.
The Shepard Scale is my way of turning hard-won doctrine into practical tools that help serious people lead more clearly under pressure.
Why The Shepard Scale?
In music, a Shepard Scale creates the illusion of an infinite rise. Each layer reinforces the next, producing sustained pressure and momentum rather than a single spike.
That concept maps cleanly onto asymmetric conflict and resistance work.
The Shepard Scale is designed as a force multiplier for people operating in contested environments. It layers counterintelligence tradecraft, behavioral analysis, trauma-informed psychology, and doctrine to help leaders and groups maintain orientation under pressure.
